I was born in Brisbane in 1931, family moved to Ipswich, Bundamba to be more exact. My name was Raymond Maher then, now it's Raymond Sterner.

My father died in 1940, my mother married an American soldier and she, my brother Brian and I sailed to the US in 1946.

I have been here since and have never returned to Australia so I enjoy your magazine.
